Joel Parr (Washington)

After graduating high school, Joel moved from Washington to New York to build houses. After two years, he moved back home to marry his wife and start a job as a mechanic's apprentice. In 1990, Joel relocated to California to take a mechanics position at a small rental company where he also learned to become a CDL driver.

Joel joined Sunbelt Rentals in 1994 as a truck driver in his home state of Washington. That led to several other positions in the branch including equipment trainer and Regional Safety Manager. In 2024, he was promoted to District Safety Trainer servicing the state of Washington, and is qualified to teach MEWP, forklift, and earthmoving operator certification courses in addition to fall protection training.

Joel loves spending time with his wife, three grown children and granddaughter. Riding his Harley and taking his wife on nature drives is one of his favorite pastimes in addition to playing with his dogs and cats.
