Michael “Mike” Nason (Ohio)
Mike started his career in 1999 with NationsRent Co. in Ohio which was acquired by Sunbelt Rentals in 2006. During his first few years in the industry, he worked in the yard, maintenance shop, on the sales counter and eventually was promoted to sales and dispatcher. In 2017, Mike was promoted to his current role of District Safety Trainer.
Mike’s many branch roles and experiences operating ariel work platforms, forklifts, and several earth moving types of equipment over the last 25 plus years has proven beneficial in his training delivery. In addition to equipment operator certification training, Mike is qualified to teach Fall Protection User Awareness, and Train the Trainer courses for those who would like to become equipment trainers. Mike is a pioneer in expanding Sunbelt Rental’s virtual equipment operator training channel and is usually found facilitating training classes in Northeast and Central Ohio.
Mike believes experience and equipment training can prevent accidents and save lives. Students can experience Mike’s passion for safety in every class and he hopes that this passion will make a difference in someone’s life or even save a life.
