Alex Clemens
Alex started working in construction during high school at age 15 operating backhoes, loaders, rock crushers and many other pieces of equipment for a sand & gravel company in Massachusetts. After graduation, he assumed a lead position as an equipment operator and trainer in a large distribution center and picked up a 2nd shift job at a container yard moving shipping containers from railcars to trailers with intermodal cranes.
Alex joined Sunbelt Rentals in 2016 as a Service Manager in the Trench Safety division. During his tenure as Service Manager, he also assumed the roles of branch trainer and Safety Coordinator. In 2023, he was promoted to District Safety Trainer and is qualified to teach boom and scissor lift, forklift, and earthmoving operator certification courses as well as Fall Protection Awareness. He services MA, CT, ME, NH, up-state NY, RI and VT.
Over his more than 20-year career, Alex has been exposed to many unfortunate injury and loss situations that resulted from a lack of training and safety awareness. He believes a strong safety culture with quality training is the best solution for the industry and being able to contribute to that daily is something that brings him more pride than he ever imagined.
Alex is newly married and has two dogs. He is an outdoors enthusiast and loves bowhunting, ice fishing, and grilling for his family and friends. He also enjoys gardening and tackling home improvement projects with his wife. Alex was raised & continues to live in Central MA and considers himself a true Patriot, through and through.
