Kyle DeLucero (Trench Safety - Western U.S.)
Kyle began his career in the underground utility construction industry in 1996, initially working in sales and project management roles for two of the largest producers of precast concrete drainage products. Kyle gained exposure to all facets of in-field application of wet utility product installation and utility construction processes, while building a vast network of partners within the industry.
In 2012, Kyle had the opportunity to enter the “Trench Safety” business and hired on with Underground Safety Equipment. He was fortunate to have been mentored by one of the true icons of the industry, Howard Nute. This mentoring led Kyle to hone his skills and further his education to become a trench safety trainer in addition to his other roles in sales and management. In 2019, Sunbelt Rentals, acquired Underground Safety Equipment to become one of the largest suppliers of trench safety equipment and safety training in the United States. Shortly thereafter, Kyle took on the role of Regional Safety Trainer – Trench Safety. He now devotes 100% of his role to educating contractors and internal team members on trench safety best practices, confined space entry, and the OSHA regulations that govern these construction activities.
Kyle recalls early in his career, instances when he and others entered in to unprotected and unsafe excavations to do work, mainly due to not having been educated on the hazards involved and the OSHA laws that are to be followed. Now having the education and knowledge, Kyle shares his passion with contractors across the nation, for making cave-in and confined space deaths a thing of the past.
Kyle resides in Colorado with his wife, son and two dogs. He and his family enjoy time outdoors skiing, hunting, fly fishing, hiking, biking, camping, and traveling.
