Confined Space Awareness (Classroom)
The goal of this in-person course is to ensure the attendee has the knowledge to define a confined space, identify the equipment needed, perform Pre-Entry testing, evaluation and monitoring, and complete documentation as required by OSHA.
This is not a Competent Person Class.
Topics Include:
- Pre-entry rescue equipment
- Air quality testing equipment
- Proper selection and use of air monitors
- Ventilation and purging of the confined space
- Pre-entry documentation and hot work permit systems
- Duties of the attendant while workers are in a confined space
- Rescue procedures
