This online theory and hands-on practical evaluation training allows students to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills required to operate Class 1, 4, or 5 counterbalance forklifts safely. Upon successful completion of the online theory and final written exam, students must successfully complete the in-person hands-on practical evaluation conducted by a qualified Sunbelt Rentals Certified Evaluator to receive operator certification.

Topics include:
Differentiate between handling a forklift and an average automobile (rear-wheel steering, weight)
Identify the most common forklift accidents
Describe steps for refueling
Describe steps for recharging batteries
Describe the center of gravity and stability triangle
Describe load capacity and load center
Describe forklift pre-operation inspections
Identify safety guidelines and best practices for forklift operation

Please complete your practical evaluation within 90-days from the completion of the online course.
